A hunter works in this building with his tracking dog. The hunter hunts animals for their meat: he ventures out and tracks them down before shooting them down with a well-placed arrow. Shot venison and rabbits are taken to the hut, where the hunter processes their meat, which is then brought to the granary. Pheasants will also spawn if there are no leftover animals in the map - these will be ferried to the stores by the trusty dog.
Hunters are most effective in the early-game, when food consumption is not very high. Thus, a few of them can be used for increased food variety and instant access.
The hunter uses a pocket knife for self-defense. He can also use his bow for attacking bears, however their meat is not used for consumption.
