The ice mirror is a defense device in Stronghold Legends.
Description
This tool is a big reflective mirror deployed on open wall sections. It is able to collect huge quantities of solar energy and convert it into a very cold ice beam, capable of dealing high damage in its close proximity. It also freezes units, rendering them immobile for a few seconds and easy prey for own units.
Usage
The mirror works effectively against groups of units trying to scale a wall section. The ice mirror can spray its freezing blow again, keeping the invaders in bay until units with an area of effect or missile attack can finish them.
Unfortunately, the mirror covers only a small wall section, meaning that more of it is needed for longer walls. It is also somewhat costly and catapults or trebuchets may easily destroy it.
The ice mirror is available to the Ice faction only.
