The mercenary post allows the recruitment of various specialist units. Mercenaries cost only gold and a peasant to hire, they need neither weapons, nor armour to equip.
Freshly recruited troops gather at the designated training grounds, unless an assembly point is set. A rally point can be placed to a custom location per troop by selecting it in the barracks' menu.
Unlike the barracks, the mercenary post is built of wood, which makes it more susceptible to fire and it can spread flames around the perimeter.
