Hi, I never introduced myself but I am Atomicdropped. Named after Zangief's Tailbone Shattering forward throw in Street Fighter.
Anyways I have been trying to do video guides and then doing articles as walkthroughs for missions I do not see already having one. I was just wondering. Is there a way to make a "Guides" category or similar? I ask because some pages are automatically set to "walkthrough:" and others do not have that. And I feel a guides category could help.
Hi there! Enjoy your stay around here and thanks for adding walkthroughs! :)
For the above purpose exist the walkthrough pages. Here, the Walkthrough category can be used to easily navigate through missions. You should be filling these pages with information to keep everything in one place. Stronghold Crusader - Skirmish_Walkthroughs for example contains all missions for SHC, I'll try to make this more reachable.
What do you think of the "Guides" category? What should it contain: advice about how to handle situations, details into game aspects or what else? Usually, you can include short snippets that give you tips and alternate strats, in a paragraph towards the end of a page. If you need anything longer than that, we can include a WT sub-page under your name, as author. At the beginning of the mission page, we can also include a notif for the primary source for that page (like "Walkthrough source from <link: AtomicDropped>").
What I meant about guides, is well in the way I was making it, like for example in the SF wiki we have categories of like "Female characters" "Playable characters", stuff like that. So since I see some pages that are guides if there is a "guides" or "walkthroughs" categories I think it would be easier to see all pages at once if that made sense.
Alright, I found that your solution already exists. :D There are categories for walkthroughs (e.g. Category:Stronghold Crusader Skirmish Walkthroughs) in each game. I believe there are pages in need of such categories. In a day or two, I can sweep over them and add any.
Your reference of "Female Characters" on SF wiki does the same as the above categories fulfil, so I think it should be a trivial task.

Just a quick message to say I'm finally getting back into Stronghold, just like our good old days when we did multiplayer together, and now I have the collection, I may play around with the other games too. Hope to play multiplayer again sometime soon my old friend.
I also returned to the franchise once more since a long time of absence. Currently, I am devoting time to the wiki and less time to play, but even then, we might be able to arrange a session soon enough.
While the collection is awesome as-is, it is also worth looking into Crusader 2, if you like the multiplayer aspect. :)
Yeah, I've been looking at getting SC2, but I will most likely wait till a steam sale when i have the money to get it. Hopefully we will be able to play SH2 multiplayer together soon, it depends how much time I spend on mc projects, Trainz multiplayer and the Total War series.
I hope we will be able to arrange something soon. Nice to hear from you again.
There's no command for such a purpose. QWER are individual keys for rotating and zooming the camera. You need to manually adjust the view so that it shows the field of view of the unit (and you are a great cameraman if you do that :D).
Another way for accessing views is clicking the "eye" icon left from the minimap. You have 5 extra angles other than the normal one: granary, lord, top-down architect's view (SPACE also activates it), keep, gatehouses. Regrettably, the only unit you can use for this is the lord, but no regular units or civilians.
