A Tanner's Workshop can produce three leather armour per cow in Stronghold, while it can produce a variable number in Crusader. (Each shipment has a chance of being one-two weapons in Crusader, instead of just one in Stronghold.
Leather Armour
Leather Armour is used in the recruitment of macemen and crossbowmen. You need a Tanner's Workshop and a Dairy Farm. Leather armour is good against bows but can not stand up to long in the fire of crossbows.
