Walls are tall and come in two forms: wooden and stone. They can be built in linear arrays. They can connect gatehouses and towers. From the ground, they are accessible through a stairwell, another gatehouse, a ladder or a siege tower. Multiple wall lines can be built next to each other, granting theoretically infinite thickness.
Foot soldiers can mount wall, who gain height and range advantage. A number of defensive tools may be installed atop or in the front of wall segments, such as rock baskets, stone tippers and rolling logs. Braziers are also available for these purposes.
Walls may be damaged by tunnels and catapulted rocks, of which the latter causes collateral damage to adjacent structures. Wooden walls can be also damaged by melee attacks, but they do not knock off units. If a wall segment is damaged, it becomes lower in height as well as units atop are sent flying off. Stones may fly over damaged walls or even crush units on it. They can be repaired by simply erecting a new wall line over it, or by engineers standing by.
The simplest and cheapest pallisade available early on. It provides basic defense, however it is very weak and can be removed very fast.
Stone walls are standard structures and they provide great defense against foot units. Siege engines may attack them, but even they need several shots to create a breach. Stonr walls can be erected in single, double and triple thickness forms. They are merely varying in erecting thickness and all consist the same type of stone wall.
